Cofactr offers several ways to support your planning, processes, procurement, and logistics. This article gives an overview of what those core features mean and how they work.

PARTS PRICING FROM MAJOR DISTRIBUTORS

When you buy parts through Cofactr from any high reliability distributor there will be no fee added to the price. Cofactr gives transparent pricing at cost. For example, here is how a quantity of 20 of the part ATTINY12L-4PU is priced from Mouser, a distributor that is listed as highly reliable in data and parts quality at the time of this article's writing.

You'll see a breakdown of itemized pricing exactly how it would appear through Mouser, as shown below.

Cofactr provides an itemized breakdown of all parts pricing, shipping, tariffs, and customs charges.

PARTS PRICING FROM LESSER KNOWN AND LOWER RELIABILITY DISTRIBUTORS (BROKERAGE)

For parts purchased from less known or reliable distributors (i.e. brokerage) Cofactr includes a fee for Refund Guarantee and anti-counterfeit inspection.

Our brokerage anti-counterfeiting includes random sample or 100% optical and X-Ray inspection of purchased components depending on supplier risk profile against a known good (when available) and Refund Guarantee covering the full cost of the parts in the circumstance where the parts are not delivered or fail inspection.

Refund Guarantee & anti-counterfeiting package added to non-authorized distributors is calculated based on our technical part data and supplier risk profile and typically starts at around 15% of the cost of the parts.

We include this fee to dramatically mitigate risk to our customers during an inherently high-risk purchase.
